Diwali means in Hindi something like «array of lights» and is one of the most important festivals of the Hindus. It always begins on the fifteenth day of the Hindu-month Kartik, at the end of October or early November. Diwali celebrates the victory of good over evil, of light over darkness and the knowledge of our own inner strengths. For Diwali, as a rule very much fireworks are lit.
