The sun has not yet risen over the east side of the island, yet its rays break horizontally through the branches, somewhat reducing the wake-up charm of the lines’ sharpness. The humidity of the night frees itself from the shore. Today, though, where is the wind which usually greets it and carries it out into the open ocean? Not a single wave folds the smooth surface of the sea; just occasionally does a fish jump in silver light. Then, slowly, silently, and bathed in white, a barge slides over the horizon – very softly as though it has precious cargo to transport. Somewhat more to the west is the island of Keileuna – and, behind it, lies Tuma, home of the ancestor spirits.
